I chose to start MLM home business as I was able to work from home and be there for my children growing up. It is a great way to meet people and have fun. There are business meetings, training meetings, cruises, cookouts and fireside chats where you can meet lots of new friends. Conversation topics are normally business and personal-growth related.

Every 12-18 months most MLM companies hold national or international conventions where people meet from all over the world. This is a great place to meet people.

Most people work as hard as they can in whatever job they can find to keep up with expenses. They feel trapped because they HAVE to go to work to pay the bills. MLM offers a way out of this because a person can work their MLM business part-time until they earn enough income to quit their full time job - if they desire to do so.

Multi-level marketing offers a legitimate product, costs little to become a distributor, and emphasizes selling to customers. It is a method of selling which depends on networking between people.

The salespeople not only sell their product, but also recruit other salespeople who in turn sell the product and recruit other salespeople. The resulting hierarchy produces levels of distributors all working to promote and sell the product and sharing in the profits of the levels below them. It effectively bypasses the traditional forms of promotion and distribution in favour of a large network of independent distributors.

  • Leadership bonus. Reward for helping someone you sponsored move up to a higher level in the organization.
  • Residual income. Commission received for a customer repurchase.
  • Usage bonus. Money paid to distributors as a percentage of their groups' total usage levels.

Choosing the right company

As in any business venture, choosing which company to start mlm home business with depends on your personal interests and needs. Research companies whose products and/or services you believe in and which customers will buy on a repeated basis. You want a company with a sound track record.

Do your homework. Check financial statements, years in business, management team, marketing plan, and industry standing. Look at the position of the product industry as a whole. The amount of support in marketing and training provided by the company is another indicator of the strength of the company. Multi-Level Marketing contains three major sections: the Industry, the Structure of the company, and the Activities of the distributors. Understanding how these three parts work independently and together is how you can properly evaluate an MLM company. In my experience it is never a good idea to be drawn with a carrot of getting at a start. If a company has no history how can you know if it is going to be a successes, that even goes for ones that have come from a different company expanding in to a ne country is always a tricky thing and if the company is a good one it does not matter when you join.

You can do research in a variety of ways.

  • Sales presentations. Attend sales presentations (opportunity meetings) and meet other network members.
  • Distributors. Talk to people in the company and ask about their experiences.
  • Customers. Talk to people who buy and use the product.
  • Promotional Materials. Examine the promotional material for quality and truthfulness.
  • Training materials. Learn about the materials provided by the company to get you started.
  • Annual reports. Examine the annual reports over the past years to determine assets and liabilities, revenues, expenses, investments, management, and other information.
  • Trade associations. Ask for information about the company's performance record and reputation.
  • Media reports. Do some research to see what kind of coverage the company has been given.
  • Competitors. Talk to the competition to help in evaluating your company.
  • Product line. Become familiar with the company's products.
